IAPD 2nd Global Summit

in collaboration with the Taiwan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry

Join us for one of the most exciting events of 2020!

The traditional global approach of the treatment of dental caries have focused on repairing the consequences of the caries rather than addressing disease itself. Advances in caries microbiology, caries detection, risk assessment, pulp therapy, and non-surgical and surgical management is fundamentally shifting the standards of caries management. To facilitate the global adoption of evidence-based caries management, international dental caries experts will consider the broad perspective on how different cultures, developed/developing countries and child behaviors may affect the teaching and implementation of caries risk procedures, caries detection, and thresholds for treatment. Care pathways showing the strengths of evidence for preventive strategies, remineralization, caries arrest, minimally invasive care and surgical care will be examined.

World Oral Health Day 2020 | 20 March

World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated globally every year on 20 March. It is organized by FDI World Dental Federation and is the largest global awareness campaign on oral health.

WOHD spreads messages about good oral hygiene practices to adults and children alike and demonstrates the importance of optimal oral health in maintaining general health and well-being.

Fact sheet for young families

The fact sheet for young families provides advice on the types of pledges families can make to help look after their own, and their family’s health. For example, pledge to start an oral care routine for your child.

Questions about children’s oral health? On the IAPD website parents’ section, we have divided questions and answers into periods from birth to age 2, the preschool period from ages 3 to 6, the early mixed dentition period from ages 6 to 9, and the late mixed dentition stages from 10 years and upwards. Click here to view the parents’ section.
