IAPD Research & Case Report Awards

 

These two Awards are presented on alternate years at the IAPD Congress for the best poster of a Case Report on any clinical topic and the best poster of Research on any clinical topic.
The value of each Award is EUR 1000 (one thousand Euros).

This award will be presented at the 30th IAPD Congress from 22-25 October 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa.

Please note that you can ONLY SUBMIT ONE ABSTRACT/ESSAY/PROJECT for consideration for any ONE bursary or award. If there are multiple awards or bursaries of interest to you, please choose only the most applicable one.

Rules

  1. These Awards are open to current members of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD).
  2. The posters should be based on original and previously unpublished work and may be presented under joint authorship. In case of joint authorship, at least one applicant must be a current IAPD member and will be verified.
  3. Registration to the congress is a requirement for all Award entries.
  4. There are two Awards. One Award will be presented for the best research poster on any clinical topic relevant to Paediatric Dentistry. The other Award will be presented for the best case report poster on any clinical topic relevant to Paediatric Dentistry. Both Awards will be judged by an international panel of adjudicators. The adjudicators decision will be final and no request for reviews will be accepted.

 

Please note that caries management case reports and research are excluded and should be submitted for IAPD Caries Management Awards.

  1. All abstracts are evaluated in advance by the allocated judges to select the finalists.
  2. All finalists are required to give a live 5-minute oral presentation to the judges at the Congress in Cape Town in October 2025, followed by a 5-minute question and answer session.
  3. The Award winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony by the Awards Committee Chair or representative. The winner is required to participate in the formal closing ceremony (30th IAPD Congress from 22-25 October 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa) in order to receive the Award. The closing ceremony will take place on Saturday evening, 25 October 2025.
  4. The International Association of Paediatric Dentistry reserves the right of publication of the winning posters.
  5. Applications for these Awards should be submitted via the IAPD Congress website (to be launched soon).
