John Wiley & Sons (the Publisher) in collaboration with the societies British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) and International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) are seeking an Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry (IJPD) to serve an initial four-year term commencing 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2024.
The Editor-in-Chief (EiC) will provide leadership in further developing the journal both in terms of scientific content and extent of content available to readers. IJPD currently is a high-ranking journal dedicated to paediatric dentistry. Paediatric dentistry is a rapidly developing health care discipline.
The EiC will be required to develop and implement a strategy and direction for the journal to become the leading journal in Paediatric Dentistry. The Editor-in-Chief will be expected to lead and collaborate with two Society Editors representing BSPD and IAPD respectively and a team of Associate Editors to execute on the publication strategy. The Associate Editors will work with the EiC on handling the review process. The post as Editor-in-Chief carries an annual stipend. The application deadline is 1 July 2020, following which a shortlist will be developed by BSPD, IAPD and Wiley, with a view to conducting interviews from 24 August 2020.
