Mission: To promote children’s oral health globally by supporting high standards in paediatric dental care, advancing education and research, building international collaboration, and strengthening member engagement across all regions.

Strategic Objectives
We support paediatric dental professionals through accessible, high-quality education and scientifi c initiatives – delivered within a vibrant, global community of shared learning and collaboration.
Priorities:
- Expand the IAPD Fellowship Programme and strengthen long-term maintenance and prestige.
- Revise and relaunch the Teach the Teacher Workshop and Regional Meeting models to refl ect current global needs.
- Grow IAPD’s webinar programme to expand access and engagement.
- Continue developing and translating Consensus Recommendations to support informed practice worldwide.
We strengthen and expand IAPD’s global community by enhancing the value of membership and fostering meaningful engagement – celebrating the diversity, collaboration, and personal connections that defi ne the IAPD experience.
Priorities:
- Continue developing benefi ts and engagement strategies tailored to young professionals, helping them feel part of a welcoming, global network.
- Develop structured feedback systems and two-way communication channels to better understand and respond to members’ needs.
- Recognise and retain loyal members and active volunteers, reinforcing a sense of belonging and contribution.
We expand IAPD’s reach and impact through strategic partnerships and active global advocacy, uniting efforts to advance children’s oral health worldwide.

- Deepen strategic partnerships with organisations committed to advancing children’s oral health, dental education, and youth well-being – fostering collaboration across sectors, regions, and disciplines.
- Promote IAPD’s scientifi c content, educational resources, and Consensus Recommendations across regions and languages.
- Formalise strategic partnerships and foster consistent, high-quality representation at national and regional events.
- Support local societies by encouraging leadership exchange and shared learning opportunities within the IAPD network.

- Finalise and implement an updated publishing agreement that supports IAPD’s educational and scientific mission.
- Refresh sponsorship approaches to strengthen support for programmes, events, and recognition initiatives.
- Promote good governance and effi cient internal processes that align with IAPD’s values and goals.
- Explore new avenues for fundraising and partnerships that refl ect IAPD’s inclusive, global focus.
Implementation & Monitoring
This strategic plan guides IAPD’s priorities and actions from late 2024 through the end of 2027. The Executive Committee regularly monitors progress to ensure alignment with the association’s evolving priorities and mission.
Rooted in science, powered by people, and united by purpose, IAPD will continue to grow as the Global Voice of Children’s Oral Health - building bridges, inspiring change, and shaping the future together
