28 October 2026 – It is with profound sadness that the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) mourns the passing of Professor Luca Rodica, a highly respected colleague, dedicated mentor and beloved member of our international paediatric dentistry family.
Professor Rodica’s remarkable influence extended far beyond the borders of Romania. Throughout her distinguished career, she inspired and mentored generations of paediatric dental professionals, sharing not only her knowledge and expertise but also her passion for the profession and her unwavering commitment to improving children’s oral health.
Her contributions to paediatric dentistry have left a lasting mark on our global community. She was admired not only for her professional achievements, but also for the warmth, generosity and kindness with which she touched the lives of so many colleagues and friends around the world.
For the IAPD family, her passing represents the loss of a truly cherished figure. Her legacy will live on through the countless professionals she guided, the friendships she nurtured and the many lives she influenced throughout her career.
