Dr. Bönecker has been conducting research in the field of Paediatric Dentistry for the past 20 years. He has published more than 100 scholarly articles in professional peer-reviewed journals with international circulation (Scopus database), wrote 88 chapters in books and edited 23 books in Paediatric Dentistry. Dr. Bönecker was Associate Editor of the scientific journal Brazilian Oral Research for five years and member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal Paediatric Dentistry for four years. He is currently the treasurer of IADR Brazilian Section and Chair of the Alliance for Cavity Free Future, Brazilian Section. He lectures extensively in Latin America. Dr. Bönecker has been serving the IAPD Board of Directors since 2010.
