We invite Early-Career Investigators and Postgraduate Students from developing countries to submit poster presentations for consideration for the prestigious Japanese Society of Pediatric Dentistry Travel Award.
This award offers an exciting opportunity to support promising young researchers in paediatric dentistry by assisting them in attending and presenting their work at the upcoming IAPD Congress. It recognises innovation, scientific excellence, and a commitment to advancing children’s oral health worldwide.
Eligible applicants are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to showcase their research on an international stage, connect with global experts, and become part of the future of paediatric dentistry.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the newly updated and more user-friendly IAPD Consensus Recommendations page on our website.
Designed to improve accessibility and navigation, the refreshed page offers members and oral health professionals an easier way to explore the latest evidence-based recommendations developed by leading international experts in paediatric dentistry. From preventive care and fluoride use to early childhood caries and clinical best practices, these valuable resources support informed decision-making and high-quality care for children worldwide.
The new layout makes it simpler to browse, download, and share key consensus documents, ensuring that important guidance is always within easy reach.
We warmly invite you to visit the updated page, explore the recommendations, and make full use of these important resources as we continue working together toward better oral health for every child.
Great communication is just as important as great clinical care. That is why the IAPD is excited to launch the new For Professionals page within the Fluoriders Corner.
This dedicated space supports dental professionals in having clear, confident, and effective conversations with parents about fluoride. Built around eight practical communication principles, the page helps translate evidence into everyday discussions, focusing on what to say, how to say it, and how to respond to common questions or concerns.
Each principle stands on its own, offering simple, applicable guidance that can be used immediately in clinical practice. Whether addressing hesitation, building trust, or reinforcing prevention, these tools are designed to make important conversations easier and more effective.
Explore the new page and discover practical ways to strengthen communication and support healthier smiles for every child.
The IAPD is thrilled to celebrate the achievements of our fellows who successfully completed their examinations in 2025. Their dedication and commitment to continuing education have truly paid off!

The IAPD, in collaboration with the Philippine Pediatric Dental Society, Inc., successfully hosted the Teach the Teachers Educational Workshop (TTEW) on 25–26 April 2026 in Manila.
After many years, the return of the TTEW was met with great enthusiasm and proved to be a great success, offering attendees an invaluable educational and professional experience. Day 1 featured a series of engaging and insightful lectures, while Day 2 provided practical hands-on workshops, allowing participants to apply knowledge directly in an interactive learning environment.
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing paediatric dental education, with the IAPD and PPDSI working closely together to deliver a meaningful and impactful programme.
IAPD representatives leading the educational sessions included Dr Anna Maria Vierrou, IAPD Secretary General, Dr Soni Stephen, IAPD President, and Dr Marina Papachroni, IAPD Board Member, whose expertise and dedication greatly contributed to the success of the workshop.
The TTEW was proudly powered by Ultradent Products, Inc. and SDI Limited, whose valued support helped make this important initiative possible.
A special highlight of the workshop was an exciting Fluoriders moment—our participants in Manila became the very first National-Member Society to dance together to the beat of the Happy Teeth Song at an official event! Their energy, enthusiasm, and team spirit brought the Fluoriders message to life in the most joyful way, showing that promoting healthy smiles can be both educational and fun.
Well done to our amazing Fluoriders in the Philippines for leading the way!
