Following the ceremony, the celebration continues with our Welcome Reception on the exhibition floor. Mingle with colleagues and partners from around the world while enjoying refreshing drinks and light bites in a relaxed, festive atmosphere.
It’s the perfect start to four days of learning, collaboration, and connection!

An IAPD tradition, the Gala Dinner is an evening of elegance, culture, and friendship. This year’s event will be held at Simon’s Restaurant, nestled within the historic Groot Constantia wine estate, a jewel of the Cape Winelands with a history spanning over 300 years.
Guests will indulge in Cape-inspired cuisine crafted from the region’s freshest produce, paired with world-class wines in a breathtaking vineyard setting. This is more than dinner—it’s a celebration of life, learning, and shared memories in one of South Africa’s most iconic locations.

🌐Spotlight on IAPD Consensus Recommendations
This month, we’re shining a spotlight on the Consensus Recommendation on the Management of Bruxism in Children.
Bruxism is the clenching or grinding of teeth, or bracing of the jaw, most often during sleep but sometimes when awake. Its causes are multifactorial, including stress, anxiety, medical conditions, and lifestyle factors.
Prevalence in children and adolescents ranges from 3.5% to 40.6%, generally decreasing with age. Bruxism is more common in children with ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome, and psychosocial factors appear to play a role from around age six.
Bruxism is not linked to malocclusion, and tooth wear is not clearly associated with sleep bruxism in mixed dentition.
